Phi Phi /Thailand

Finally, it is his fault. Who sent Leonardo de Caprio choose the one piece of paradise for filming the Beach? He has scattered the secret. Ko Phi Phi turned celebrity and now suffers with the fame. What was the idyllic and serene in southern Thailand 14 years ago, now is disputed the palmoplantar keratoderma by hundreds of tourists. In fact, production megaproduction was filmed in Phi Phi Leh, one of the six existing islands in the beautiful region. To know it, however, you must from localities as Phi Phi Don - the largest of them and the only inhabited island of the archipelago, a small town easily accessed from Phuket or Krabi, where there are several hotels and luxury resorts.
Although small, Phi Phi Don is always full of tourists from all ages and parts of the world; it is so famous that, unfortunately, eventually became one of the most expensive destinations of Southeast Asia. The focus of the visitors, is clear, are the beautiful beaches of the region - of the quietest, almost deserted, the busiest roads - but it is good to remember that the island also has a pulsating nightlife, full of bars, nightclubs and cobblestone streets super-animated.

When to go
Before closing the bags and from toward the wonders of Phi Phi, is good if you inform about the local climate, especially if the intention is to take advantage of days of sunshine. Two seasons predominate in the island, along the year: drought - that goes from mid-December to April - and the rainy season - from May to mid-November.The temperatures are always high; therefore, Go prepared to face the strong heat that makes on the island. In addition, listen carefully if the intent is to visit the destination during the rainy season. This is because many tours that can't, such as the visit to the famous bay of Maya, for example, may end up being canceled.

What to do in Phi Phi
The highlight of Phi Phi is, without doubt, the Andaman Sea; after all, are the scenarios paradisiac that brought fame to the island in the world: its turquoise waters, winter woolies; white sands; and green in abundance. In truth, the island has beaches more calm - where it is possible to relax quite - until the hottest - in which we arrive early if the intent is to leverage the landscapes with some tranquility.
It is good to remember that Phi Phi Don is the only inhabited island in the region. From there you can access some beaches on foot or by bike (on the island it is possible to rent one), but it is likely that most of the time necessary to rent a taxi boat to know the most famous.

The tip for those who are in groups of more than two persons, for example, is close a private boat, for tours of 4 to 6 hours followed. The rent leaves around USD 60 and compensates for even more if the value is divided between several people.Fans of water sports will also find a large quantity of companies that offer the most diverse packages, as the snorkeling at Ko Mai Phai (North) and diving in areas such as Anemone Reef, Hin Bida (where sees many sharks) and Maya Bay (In Phi Phi Leh). To find a trusted company, do a brief survey on the internet, in sites containing the views of those who have already used the service, as the Trip Advisor, for example (and soon, the MD).
The village of Tonsai, the heart of Phi Phi Don, is more quiet during the day, however, in the evening, the area is transformed into a point superbadalado. Shops/street fairs, good restaurants, bars and nightclubs are by all sides, where it is only possible to carry over the foot.

Long Beach
Long Beach, or had Yao, is a beach simply paradise: calm sea, impressive color, excellent for swimming and for the practice of the snorkeling, on account of coral reefs; to complete the scenario, white sand and an atmosphere of very relaxation.

Loh Moo Dee Beach
The super calm beach, to the south of Phi Phi Don, is great for those who search for areas less peals, ideal for swimming and also for the practice of the snorkeling.

Maya Bay
To the extent that the boat will be approaching the Maya Bay, in Phi Phi Leh, a stunning scenery will arise before the eyes and leaving the visitor gasping: sea in tones of blue impressive, between limestone cliffs of 100 meters of height and a beautiful nature around - the true vision of paradise.

Relax bar
Not only are the beautiful beaches that lead many visitors to Phi Phi Don, but also the night of the island, famous for animation and by the large amount of bars and nightclubs. One of the places that are worth the visit is the Relax bar, a wooden hut style praiano, located in the most bustling.

Tonsai beach
Tonsai Beach is the first vision of the tourist who arrives in Phi Phi Don, boat trips. Clear waters - surrounded by rocks - and a large quantity of boats call attention on site that, to house a pier of the same name, is not the most appropriate for bathroom.

  1. The natural beauty is incredible there. Book at least 3 full days. Unless this you will regret it. Pra who is unmarried and want to enjoy the night the recommendation is to stay in the region of Tonsay (Conceição and near the pier of the island) There has many young people, mainly Europeans going in search of fun. As this was not my case, I preferred to stay a little further away about 15 minutes walk from this region sense the Long Beach.
