Zakynthos is one of the most known postcards of Greece, thanks to the beautiful beach, also known as Navagio shipwreck. This beach was discovered in 1980, when a former Scottish vessel was persecuted by the Greek authorities on suspicion of smuggling of cigarettes and drinks. During the persecution and due to bad weather, the ship has just got bogged down in this creek of white sands and crystal clear waters! The most beautiful blue tone that has already seen! And that was how the Greeks have discovered this paradisiacal place!
The only way to access is through boat ride. This tour is to also incredible blue caves. The Navagio is also much appreciated by surfers jump base.
